Why does Esqueje exist?
If you've ever bought a rare plant on Facebook or WhatsApp, you know the problem: you can't tell if the seller is trustworthy, there's no way to claim if the plant arrives damaged, and prices are a mystery. Groups of thousands where everything runs on bank transfers and blind trust.
Esqueje was born to solve that. We want buying a Monstera Albo or a rare Philodendron to be as safe as buying from any online store — but with the passion and knowledge of a real collector community.
What we do differently
Secure payments
Payments are processed via Stripe. If there's a problem with your order, we mediate. Automatic hold is in development.
Everything is recorded
Every transaction, every dispute, every resolution. Full traceability for buyers and sellers.
Clear rules
Transparent commissions, published return policies, and a fair dispute system.
Plants only
We're not a generic marketplace. We understand variegated plants, cuttings, rooted specimens, and special packaging needs.
Who's behind it
Esqueje.mx is an independent project born in Mexico City. We're not a startup with millions in funding — we're a small team that believes Mexico's collector plant market deserves something better than Facebook groups.
We're in the early stages. That means the platform is in active development, we listen to every suggestion, and you can write to us directly if something doesn't work.
We're in beta
